At the time, content would more vital part in the blog because it should be good language with the best support..ya, surely grammatical could be good…

Thanks for the fantastic post! Each point you made could easily be applied to Twitter as well. Whatever the platform, people want to read great content…great as in well written and great as in meaningful. We all want to be touched in some way by what we read. Humanity is hungry for it and digital media is here to provide it. When we stumble upon great, we’re the better for having read it. That’s how I feel about having found your post here.

I think that comments and interaction are a product of a great article and are a good way to tell if your content is excellent and liked by the readers.

Blogs are just like dinner parties, readers visit your house (blog) for the food (content) but they stick around for the conversation (any form of user interaction)!

I thought this was a great post and should be provided to new bloggers especially, although a reminder about quality content is always useful to us more experienced bloggers too. I find that most people are headline skimmers so I try to provide a quality post that starts out BOLD, getting to the point quickly somewhere between the title and the first sub-header! Then using the “more” tag sooner rather than later.
I would love to have Gautam guest post a response to this article on my blog. A favor to a fellow Blogengager where I will ask questions about each point and Gautam would answer, sort of like an interview. OK?

Hi Gautam,

I generally agree with what you are saying. Quality content is very important.

But even then not every visitor will read it no matter how brilliant it is.

I’m not sure that I agree with you that you can only write about things that you are an expert in.

I’m not good at twitter and yet I wrote a pretty successful post about it.

Posts can be written from other perspectives other than that of an expert.

As for the simplicity of language, it may be good for people with small vocabulary and limited knowledge of English.

But I believe that always catering to that kind of readers may not be the best.

Don’t they want to ever elevate their language skills?

They won’t if only the simplest possible language is used.

I believe that one should write naturally without using overly complicated language.

But if one is highly educated and has a large vocabulary they will do better if they use at least some of it.

That way they will also speak to their natural audience.

I do like your post I just wanted to add this as a food for thought.

Yes, I personally think I have a lot to learn in terms of writing. But what I’ve learnt that as I am a bit challenged in my writing, but still I am able to communicate what I want to say.

And my simple language is understood by a lot of these people who have limited attention spans
