I think I agree with you that timeless content is always here to stay, but there are always things that need updation ans can help grow your subscriber base as well.

Problogger is a timeless blog, but they still write timeless content in order to maintain it and also maintain its audience.

So creating timeless content is important but maintaining a constant frequency is also equally important.

To be honest (and I meant this with great respect) I don’t actually think #9 is as important as you may have expected.

Yes, I do agree fresh content is great for readers but what I think triumphs it is timeless content.

A great post that’s based on a trend or current events will only matter while the trend is hot. When you’re trying to create fresh content based around this criteria, you’re missing the opportunity to create something that is forever.

Timeless content are those articles which, no matter how old, you always come back to them. It’s like a classic album, it isn’t pigeon hole’d by the current date.

If forgoing that extra post each week allows you to spend an extra day or two on creating timeless content, you’ll set yourself up to create a timeless blog people will reference for years to come.

Just my two cents.
